Originally from nordic Hamburg in Germany, I have been living in mediterranean Barcelona for the past 6 years.
I’ve dedicated myself to the world of social media. I’m passionate about discovering all aspects of creating, managing and moderating online communities. In particular, I’m looking into the branding and communication aspects of online communities: how can brands establish relationships with social network members online and how can you promote and grow your own community through the means of social media.
I’m helping SME’s (small and medium sized companies) to develop their Social Media & Marketing strategies. At the same time I’m currently developing my own entrepreneurial project: Foundum, a global platform for entrepreneurs.
In the past I was part of the founding team at Ofertius (a local deal-of-the-day website), Linqia (a B2B Marketplace for Social Networks and Brands) and The Moderator Community (a Meta Community for Community Managers and Group Moderators).
I’m still moderating a few communities such as Global Business Women on XING (a community of 16.000+ business women), Venturepreneurs Organization (an invitation based organization for investors, business angels and serial entrepreneurs at the same time) and Internations Barcelona (a community for expats around the world).
The purpose of this blog is to share key learnings and insights around Community Building and Social Media. Comundia stands for the Latin word of Comundus (= Community) and the Spanish Word Mundo (= The world). The world is becoming more and more connected through online communities!
